Our Skin Color can adapt to the intense sunlight radiation so that we can get protection against the UV rays that can damage our skin. Though there are a lot of other causes for having a dark skin which is other than the hereditary features or the over exposure to the sun. There's also dry skin, environmental pollution, prolonged usage of cosmetics that has a lot of chemicals in them, and as well as stress.

If in case you have a dark skin which is not because of your genetics, then you can attempt to lighten your skin with lightening or whitening products. Though sometimes those whitening products are 60% made of chemicals which can be very harmful to your skin. Those that works overnight too can bring negative side effects to your body and skin as well, so we recommend that you use and try natural remedies first.

Did you know that Milk can be used for Skin Lightening, since its a rich source of Calcium, and Calcium has a lot of important functions in our body including the regulating of our normal skin color.

Milk stimulates the melanocytes, which are the skin cells that produces the melanin pigment in our skin, and by stimulating the melanocytes it can prevent the skin from going dry and will make your skin lighter than before. The changes might not be noticeable at first, but as time goes by, your skin will definitely be lighter than ever.

Milk also contains Lactic Acid which reduces the skin's pigmentation which makes your skin lighter in complexion. Now you need to follow up these steps so that you can use milk for skin lightening.

You need a Cow's milk or a Goat's milk (Fresh if possible), a Bowl, and a Washcloth. Yes, you only need three items. Now you need to follow the procedure below step by step, unless you want to bath with the milk with that way already.

Ingredients/Items:

  • Milk (Cow or Goat's Milk)
  • Bowl
  • Wash Cloth

Procedure:

  • Pour the milk in a pot and simmer it for 5 minutes.
  • Once the milk is already Lukewarm, turn the heat down, and pour the milk in a Bowl.
  • Soak your wash cloth in the bowl and wring it out.
  • Gently rub your skin with the lukewarm cloth.
  • Repeat the process until you're satisfied with it, though you can repeat it 3-4 times.

Do this preferably after taking a bath, daily. And after a couple of weeks, you will notice that your skin turned lighter. If you want, you can also try milk bath (in a bath tub), which is much better.
