Obese Couple Fulfills New Year's Resolution to Lose Weight. Here's how!


A brand new year is about to come soon, and it is during that time when people make New Year’s resolutions. Although most individuals tend to break them, there are those who actually stick to them. And apparently, Lexi Reed is a perfect example. She actually smashed her New Year’s resolution.

Hailing from Terre Haute, Indiana, Lexi weighed approximately 485lbs a few years back. Her husband, on the other hand, was on the same scale. He weighed around 280lbs. Interestingly, they decided to beat the odds and get into shape. And in a span of 18 months, the two achieved their desired weight. They both lost more or less 480lbs.


“We didn’t have a meal plan, surgery, personal trainer, but what we did have was each other and the motivation within to work hard every single day.”


She added on Instagram:


“We wanted to be parents in the future and live a long life together.”


The couple was fond of eating at least 8000 calories a day. One day, they decided to give up eating junk food and resorted to eating home-cooked meals. They also started hitting the gym, something they did five to six times a week. Both Danny and Lexi shed half of their body weight, one that is truly inspiring so to speak.
