Everyone have a different preference when it comes to their sleeping position. Some would like to sleep while laying on your right or left, or just laying straight, or even laying face down, and one thing's for sure, it is important to get a good amount of sleep everyday to recharge your exhausted body for the coming day.

Sleeping less than 8 hours or actually just lacking in sleep will significantly impact on your health, and might I remind you, that having lack of sleep can weaken your immune system. Also, did you know that your sleeping position can impact of your health too?a

Dr. Johan Douillard explained on his study about "How Sleeping on the Left Side of your Body can Save your Life."

Why should we sleep on your left side? Since the Lymphatic System is located directly above the heart, and by sleeping on your left side, it will naturally drain the lymphatic system to help remove toxins in your body and also remove other waste through your thoracic duct and your lymph nodes.

While sleeping on the other side, the right side, will cause disrupt on your lymphatic system which cause it to work slowly. Thus it prohibits your lymphatic system from removing the toxins in your body properly that causes further implications.

If you might ask, what is a Lymphatic System? Lymphatic System is a network of tissues and organs that helps in getting rid the toxins, waste, and other unwanted materials on your body. Spleen, is also one of the primary organs in the lymphatic system that functions as a filter for your blood that will aide in the digestive process to work properly.

And thus, these are the reasons why you must sleep a lot on your left side.
