Warts can be very annoying as well as it's unpleasant to the skin as its usually small, grainy skin growths that normally occur most often on your hands. There are warts that is caused by touching, since the virus will be transmitted through it. These warts can be:

  • Rough to the touch
  • Sprinkled with black pinpoints (Small clotted blood vessels)
So, how can you use duct tape as a tool for removing warts?

Duct tape is one of the best-known home remedies that can help you remove your warts. It is appeared to be as an effective treatment, and is even backed by professionals in the medical field. There was a study in which 61 participants with common warts received Cryotheraphy, and some received the Duct Tape Treatment.

Two months after the said study was conducted, 85% of those who use the duct tape treatment got rid of their warts, while 60% of those who received Cryotheraphy got rid of their warts.

Here's the Duct Tape Treatment and it's usage:
  • Cover your wart with a small piece of silver duct tape for six days.
  • You can replace the tape as needed. (Sample is when you go for a bath and it got removed.)
  • After six days, soak the wart in the water and remove the dead tissue with a pumice stone or a disposable emery board.
  • Leave the wart exposed for 12 straight hours, then repeat the procedure until the wart is gone completely.
"You do have to be patient. However, this method is not an overnight cure." says Dr. Julian Whitaker, the Director of the Whitaker Wellness Institute.

To Lower Down the Risk of Having Common Warts:
  • Avoid any direct contact with people who have warts. (This includes your own warts.)
  • Don't pick on at the warts since it can spread the virus.
  • Don't use the same emery board, pumice stone, or nail clipper on your warts on your healthy nails and skin. (Unless you sanitize it properly.)
  • Don't bite your fingernails since warts can occur more frequently in the broken skin.
  • Stop nibbling the skin around your fingernails as it can open the door for any virus.
Please take note that if the warts or the growths are painful or it even change its appearance and color, please consult your doctor immediately. The same goes for those who tried the 2 month treatment but it still spread or re-occur.
