Don't Ever Use Soap To Your Cutting Board, Just Use These Two Ingredients To Kill The Bacteria!

Knowing how to clean and maintain kitchen equipment has become somewhat of a lost of art these days. Wood cutting boards are one of the most versatile kitchen tools that you can have. Not only because they are great for chopping meat or veggies, they also are lovely serving platters for cheeses, meats, and breads. But cleaning them thoroughly while also guaranteeing they live a long, beautiful life can sometimes be a challenge.

Here are some great tips for making sure your board stays clean:

  • One piece of lemon
  • Coarse sea salt
You need these two important ingredients to clean your cutting board.

Prepare the following as well:

  • Clean cloth or sponge
  • Warm water
You can also add wax and oil, which can help condition the cutting board. However, these two ingredients aren't required, but they can make the deep cleaning process even better.

     1. First, make sure that your cutting board is dry. You can wipe the board with a clean cloth or a sponge.

     2. Cut the lemon in half. Then scrub the board with the lemon and add the abrasive salt on the board.

      3. After scrubbing the board, wipe the salt and lemon off using the clean cloth.

Lemons have always been used to deodorize and kill the bacteria for a very long time. Because of their acidity, lemons, along with salt, can even remove stains.
